I’ll be sharing a monthly (or maybe biweekly let’s see) ‘Collection’ of my main sources of inspiration: food and books.
.
‘Healing Union’ has been created with the intention to nurture our connection with nature, ourselves and each other - and as I like to say, once you deepen your connection to one of these, all the others automatically deepen as well.
.
I used the word ‘nurture’ on purpose as my favourite means to strengthen these connections is through food.
This is why I have decided to start sharing my current food inspirations with you, both for the body, the soul and the mind, as a way to connect deeper. ;)
The main part of my meals are very very simple, yet filled with the most vibrant, fresh, alive ingredients that my body feels a pull to. What I’m saying is, don’t expect exact measurements or calorie counts here. Get ready to receive deeply nourishing, seasonal meal ideas from different traditions, often involving herbs, flowers and a whole lot of love.
The message I want to convey here is that food doesn’t have to be complicated, it isn’t just another 'chore’… Food is the primary form of offering love to your body, listening to it, attuning to its rhythms. Food is our direct connection to nature’s seasons, colours. Food is information we code into our genes through epigenetics. Food is present at our most memorable celebrations, gatherings, rites of passages. Food is a choice to nurture ourselves daily. Food is our chance to connect to nature, ourselves and each other.
.
We consume information in so many different forms, many other than food. My other main ways of taking in inspiration is through nature, books and beautiful images.
In the book section of these ‘Collection’ entries I don’t only intend to share merely the title and the writer of another book you can put on your wish list. I will share actual parts of them, quotes, paragraphs, images… I will share with you some of the passages that have moved the deepest parts of me.
