Helloo, it’s been a while… Welcome back or welcome if you’re new around here!
After a 3 month long unintended hiatus, I’m back to this corner of the internet, far away from social media, inviting you into the cosy cocoons in my home and mind.

This is the spot I’ve been spending as much time as I could during these cold months of winter. You might spot my iPad here, that used to be my bestie towards the end of medical school to save and highlight notes instead of printing an endless pile of them. The point is, my beloved macbook got a splash of my herbal tea on on its back and had to be repaired that took longer than expected - hence the unintended hiatus - but here we are back with this baby again (grateful the iPad comeback though and never taking these ‘friends’ for granted again!)
.
It’s been around a month of not working at the ER anymore. (Thank God!) My nervous system is still recalibrating after those days filled with adrenaline and 12 hour long shifts, some nightshift too. My insomnia, fingers crossed, seems to have disappeared, although the fear of it returning still lingers in my mind. As even on my days off I was catching myself scrolling mindlessly on my phone, these past few weeks have been about lowering my screentime, especially my IG use…
.
~ Here’s a List of some ways that have helped coming back to myself, find inspiration outside of IG and bring ease to my body and mind:
-homecooked meals, spending time in the kitchen, having a ‘kitchen’ environment in Human Design does some magic, iykyk (if not, book a 1:1 session and let’s dive into your design together)
-reading The Retreat, was my first step towards limiting my social media usage but still finding new creators, inspirations and honestly, I don’t know why I haven’t signed up sooner
-acupressure/puncture on myself, taking my time to test out the points on myself, read up on them from different sources
-doing a Tantra course with Bia that guides me back to my body through somatic and taoist practices daily
-going to my friends workshops, you could also join in this Sunday for a Somatic Journey through Breath with Lili or some Breathwork and Dance workshops are coming up with Betti in February
-lowering my caffeine intake, even quitting fully during my luteal phase, a practice I often return to and this time I could feel a major difference
-oddly, giving 1:1s and guiding others through TCM and HD talks or hands on treatment of ear acupuncture, cupping and moxa, has been giving me a lot too
you can still sign up for the last few spots left for February on Monday afternoons by replying to this email, find the details here

-looking through my old Substacks, it feels like medicine bringing my current muse back through my own words from the past few years, would definitely recommend reading the series of ‘The Collection’ filled with my go to recipes and books (with photos of some eagerly underlined lined pages of these books to remember forever)
+ I wrote a post ‘Books Celebrating Women’ with a list of my favourite books too a while back
Introducing 'The Collection'
I’ll be sharing a monthly (or maybe biweekly let’s see) ‘Collection’ of my main sources of inspiration: food and books.
Books Celebrating Women
After women’s day I got the ping to make an extensive list of my favourite books about, for, celebrating and empowering women.
-rest and yin practices in The Daily Rest Studio, the gift that keeps on giving by Emmie, it’s the last hours I think for you to sign up as well if you feel the call with a huge discount! I’ve been hooked from the very beginning, it’s been 3 years now?
-reading others Substacks, I’ve been especially inspired by Lydia and Zoë these days and what I see is that when I read more Substacks I also write more, that made me think of this quote from the Women Who Run with the Wolves book:
-writing, as you can see my Substacks are back + seems like many ideas of courses, workshops, even retreats are floating around… let’s see what wants to come through first :)
Let me know your sources of inspiration far away from social media lands, I’m curious!
Happy Lunar New Year everyone!
Love,
Zsófi
